26 Promotions – Queen Creek, AZ – (May 22, 2018) – Tye Mihocko earned his fifth top-five finish of the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series season at Arizona Speedway on Saturday night.

After starting and finishing second in his heat, Mihocko missed the feature invert by one position.

Starting seventh, Mihocko quickly moved his way into fourth, where he’d spend most of the race battling Charles Davis Jr and Dennis Gile for position.

“We had a great battle between Charles and Gile for third,” said Mihocko. “I had a lot of fun racing hard through lapped traffic even though I’d rather it be for the lead. The car was fast all night, the guys busted their butts and put us in a good spot.”

Mihocko worked his way past Davis in the closing laps for his fourth podium finish of the year.

“All in all, I’m happy with another podium finish, but I’m looking forward to improving on this next weekend,” he said.

Mihocko currently sits second in USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series points as the series heads to Canyon Speedway Park on Saturday and Sunday night.

Tye Mihocko would like to thank Mears Mechanical, Dave Wilson Reality, Michael Most Trucking, All-Star Catering, Five Star Engines, Red Beard Composites, The Race Shack, and Paint by Steve for their continued support.
