26 Promotions – Perris, CA – (April 23, 2018) – After a runner-up finish at Central Arizona Speedway with the USAC Southwest Series last weekend, Tye Mihocko and his team bolted in the 410 and headed to Perris Auto Speedway to battle with the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series.

Qualifying kicked off Saturday night’s Sokola Shootout, Mihocko qualified 21st lining him up eighth for the start of his heat race.

Mihocko advanced to sixth in his heat, placing him in the semi where he’d start ninth and work his way up to third to transfer into the 30-lap feature.

“We started the night lacking a lot of speed,” explained Mihocko. “We started the feature in 18th and got caught up in a wreck on lap one and restarted 20th. We got up to sixth and had a run on fifth, but I started saving tires in the rubber and fell back to eighth. All in all, it was a great ending to a night that started horribly.”

The Bull’s 18th to 8th run earned him the Saldana Racing Products, Racing Optics Hard Charger award.

“I need to thank everyone behind this team,” said Mihocko. “We all worked really hard to get the car back together after a crash at Canyon and made a great run for the win at Casa Grande which unfortunately ended in a heart-breaking second-place run.”

Mihocko returns to USAC Southwest competition Saturday night at Arizona Speedway.

Tye Mihocko would like to thank Mears Mechanical, Dave Wilson Reality, Michael Most Trucking, All-Star Catering, Five Star Engines, Red Beard Composites, The Race Shack, and Paint by Steve for their support.
